Whether your fancy is for dropping anchor in a quiet Cornish river, mooring alongside the quay in a picturesque Breton harbour, exploring the beautiful Norwegian fjords under sail, or taking part in a Tall Ships Race, there should be something to suit you.

Westcountry & Brittany Cruising

The mainstay of the sailing programmes for Leader, Provident and Golden Vanity will be holiday and charter cruises in the western and central areas of the English Channel: the south coasts of Devon and Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly, Brittany, Normandy and the Channel Islands. These offer the very best of coastal scenery, secluded coves, bustling harbours and island haunts. The places we visit vary with each cruise, so there are always new ones, as well as old favourites, to explore. The majority of these cruises last one week, but some are for longer. A typical six-night cruise may include stops in Dartmouth, Salcombe, Guernsey or Jersey and a Breton harbour before returning to Brixham in South Devon. For more detailed information and a map of our sailing area click here.

Tall Ships Race

Leader will be participating in leg one and the Cruise in Company of the 2008 Tall Ships Races. She will start with a voyage from Brixham to Liverpool in the middle of July, arriving for two or three days of festivities with the rest of the 100-strong Tall Ships fleet, before racing to Maloy on the west coast of Norway. The eight-night Cruise in Company from Maloy to Bergen follows and we are offering a 25% discount to everyone under the age of 25 who would like to take part in either (or both) legs.

No previous sailing experience is required and you can take part in as many legs as you wish.

Summer in the Norwegian Fjords

From her base in Bergen, following on from the Tall Ships Race, Leader will be spending two weeks cruising around the spectacular Norwegian fjords.

This area of Norwegian's west coast is famous for its steep mountains, towering cliffs, wild nature and long, narrow fjords and is best experienced and explored on a boat.

Most of the villages and towns in the fjord region have their own little festivals taking place throughout the summer and there will be plenty of time to go ashore and soak up the atmosphere as we would aim to arrive at a new harbour or anchorage each evening after the day's sailing.

The two six-night cruises will be taking place in mid-August, commencing on the 11th & 17th of the month and the price will be £575.

Air Norwegian (www.norwegian.no), Scandinavian Airlines (www.flysas.com) and Air Wideroe (www.wideroe.no) all fly from London Stanstead to Bergen and flights start from £77 return.

The Gold Award Residential

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Gold Residentials & Adventure Sailing

For those who are involved in The Duke of Edinburgh's Award and need to undertake the Gold Residential or for those young people who just want a week's adventurous sailing, a voyage on Golden Vanity offers the perfect opportunity to do either. Working with your fellow crewmates under the direction of the skipper and mate you will be responsible for all aspects of the running of the vessel whether putting up sails, helming and navigating, cooking or cleaning. It is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people, make new friends and learn new skills and no prior sailing experience is required. Three voyages in July & August have been set aside for this plus one in May, but if these are not convenient, you can do the same on any one of our RYA training courses and on the Tall Ships Race legs (see above). Scroll down the page for the 2008 programme.

The Isles of ScillySummer in the Scillies

Within 25 miles of Land's End, the Scillies are a world apart, with an air of solitude and tranquillity from another era. There are five inhabited islands and about one hundred smaller islets.

The islands have an abundance of interesting wild flora and birdlife, often not found anywhere else in the UK, sandy beaches and secluded anchorages, as well as the beautiful, sub-tropical Abbey Garden on Tresco. The climate is very mild, which make these cruises very popular.

This year we have two six-night cruises to the Scillies on Provident, commencing on May 31st and June 7th in Falmouth.

Brest & Douarnenez Festival Cruise

Following on from the wonderful Brest festival in 2004, Provident will once again be attending the event in 2008. The 2 week cruise will start in Brixham on Saturday 12th July and finish back in Brixham on Friday 25th July. We will be spending 2 or 3 days in Brest at the festival before joining the 'Grande Regate' and sailing in company to Douarnenez.

Brest 2008 is the fifth Brest festival, following events in ’92, ’96, ’00 & '04. It promises to be an incredible spectacle, with around 2,500 vessels in attendance. Douarnenez immediately follows Brest, and is a smaller event, but has a wonderful local atmosphere to it.

Because of the length of the festivals (Brest runs for six days, Douarnenez for four), the proposal is not to attend all of both events, but to have enough time at each to soak up the atmosphere, enjoy the local hospitality, and see the sights!

The price is £990 per person all inclusive for 13 nights and we currently have six berths remaining.

Call us on 01803 883355 or email team@trinitysailing.co.uk to make a booking.

The Red Arrows at the Dartmouth Royal RegattaDartmouth Royal RegattaThe Dart, South Devon

Provident  will be attending the Dartmouth Royal Regatta at the end of August. The highlights of the event include a parade of classic sail on the River Dart, lots of activities both on shore and afloat, a spectacular display by the Red Arrows and fireworks after dark. The cruise commencing on 23rd August will finish in Dartmouth, affording an opportunity to enjoy the regatta from the best possible place.

Scotland – The HebridesScottish Loch

Leader will once again be returning to the Western Isles at the beginning of September, cruising in the Inner and Outer Hebrides. From her base in Oban, Leader’s range in six days includes Skye and the Small Isles (Rhum, Canna, Eigg and Muck), the sea lochs along the coast from Ardnamurchan to Torridon, and the Outer Hebrides if the weather is favourable.  There will also be a 3-night cruise from Inverness down to Oban through the Caledonian Canal via Loch Ness and the Great Glen at the beginning of September for £275 per person all inclusive.
