“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails…
Explore…Dream…Discover”
Mark Twain
If you are young or young at heart, we have a range of adventurous sailing holidays that have been designed with you in mind!
On board one of our traditional vessels you will find an adventure voyage that offers the perfect opportunity to broaden your horizons.

It’s a great opportunity to try something completely different, meet new people, make new friendships, and learn lots of new skills.
How can I join the adventure?
Tall Ships Races
As part of the race crew onboard Provident, the Tall Ships Races 2010 will offer some of the most exhilarating sailing of theseason, and a truly unforgettable experience. Imagine being part of this unique event with around 100 sailing vessels crewed by some 5-6,000 people from 15-20 countries.
The race fleet gathers in Antwerp in July for the start of the sailing expedition. From there participating vessels will race to Aalborg in Northern Denmark. This is followed by the very sociable Cruise in Company a sailing cruise with the rest of the fleet through the Skagerrak to Kristiansand on the south coast of Norway. The final leg is a race across the North Sea to Hartlepool.
Provident has a long pedigree in the Tall Ships Races having competed in the inaugural event in 1956 and several times since then she is returning for the first time since 2005. In 2002 she won First in Class.
Not only will you experience some fantastic sailing with extended periods at sea but also have the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere and hospitality of the host ports with celebrations, festivals and events laid on for visiting crews.
The minimum age for the Tall Ships Race is 15. There is no maximum age limit, but it is a requirement that at least half of the ship’s crew are aged 15 – 25 at the start of the leg and we are offering a 25% discount on the price to everyone in that age range.
